We are excited for this year's Whitaker Wander 5K in beautiful North Conway, New Hampshire!
This trail run and walk will take place on May 18, 2024 in Whitaker Woods, which is located at 2820 White Mountain Hwy, North Conway, NH 03860. The event will be held rain or shine, on 100% wooded single and double track paths and grass. The course starts with a flat, wooded loop for the first mile, then returns to the athletic field before heading into the woods again and over the railroad tracks, where it begins a climb during the second mile. The final mile features some fun gradual downhill on single track trails before heading back over the tracks and finishing with a half mile of flat double track back to the finish. This event also includes a 1-mile kids' fun run on a flat double track path, and a virtual run option.
The race starts at 9 am, with the kids' fun run at 10 am. Registration will be $15 for adults and $5 for kids. Patients who are on the health center's sliding fee scale can get a coupon for free registration and other patients can get a coupon for $5 off by calling the health center once registration opens.
The Whitaker Wander, which was a big success in 2023, supports White Mountain Community Health Center. The Health Center provides adult and pediatric primary care, dental care, substance use disorder treatment, dietitian services, sexual & reproductive health, and behavioral health services regardless of ability to pay.
