Food pantry volunteers needed
Our dedicated volunteers have decided to retire, and we need individuals to assist in the following ways:
- Setting up for weekly food distributions
- Picking up/unloading food deliveries
- Stocking/cleaning shelves
- Shopping for product
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, unless accompanied by an adult; be able to lift heavy items, travel up and down stairs, and have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Volunteers would be asked to devote 5 to 10 hours a week to their duties. Some training is required and will be provided.
Without the time contributed by our generous volunteers it would be impossible to operate the food pantry and to serve those families and individuals who need our support. Our food pantry serves approximately 100 individuals monthly in the Mount Washington Valley area. If you have time and energy that you could use to help, we would certainly appreciate your assistance.
Our food pantry is open to the entire community on a walk-in basis Monday through Friday, 9 to 4. Patients are able to access the food pantry during any appointment. We do our best to accommodate health conditions that require specific diets, such as diabetes. If you would like to make a donation to the Phil Kelly Food Pantry Fund, please visit our donation page for more information about the best ways to support the program.
