This is a unique benefit program that allows local employers to purchase outpatient healthcare services for their employees in advance, at a discounted rate at WMCHC.
The employer decides what maximum amount will be allocated for an employee healthcare benefit, and prepays that amount to the health center (minimum $400 per year), where it is held in a separate account. The money in the accounts is utilized to pay healthcare costs at the health center for enrolled individuals, at the discounted rate, at the time of service.
This is not an insurance product, or a medical savings plan, but a way for employers to offer their employees a health benefit. The positive results of our plan for employers can be increased retention, a decrease in sick days, and a boost in morale of their employees.
